Launching a Solo Psychiatric Practice With a Website That Converts Visitors to Patients
The Challenge
Sarlah Bernard, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), was launching her solo telehealth practice in Massachusetts. She needed a professional website with integrated scheduling and payment processing — the ability to book appointments online and pay for sessions through the website. The site needed to serve as both a marketing tool and a functional patient gateway with service information for her specializations (ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, insomnia).
The Solution
We built a conversion-optimized healthcare website on Laravel with integrated scheduling and payment processing. Online scheduling integrates with her calendar for real-time availability and automated confirmations. Payment processing allows patients to pay for sessions securely through the website. The design emphasizes warmth and approachability — featuring a welcome video section, clear service pages for each specialization, and prominent "Book Your Free Fit Call" CTAs throughout. The three-step process (Fit Call → Evaluation → Treatment) is visualized clearly to reduce friction. A secure patient portal handles messaging and document sharing. Mobile-first design ensures seamless booking on any device.
